We Walked Into Sherman's Home.
We Couldn't Walk Away.
Sherman is 84. He built his Tampa home with his own hands in 1974. After years of medical bills and a predatory reverse mortgage, three years of unpaid property taxes put his home on the auction block. We went to buy it. Instead, we're fighting to save it. This is why Zombie House Rescue exists.
Sherman refused to sell. He said: "I built this porch with my own two hands. I'd like to die looking out from it." We heard that and decided — we're not buying this one. We're saving it.
